This is my new painting! The colors in this photo are a bit off, it's hard to get a good picture. It definitely looks better in person
But anyway, This is my two panel painting (they are on two separate 15 X 8 inch canvases). I don't remember how this idea came to me, but I believe it came out very well, it's just what i imagined. Originally, i wanted the canvases themselves to be in an arch shape, but I didn't manage to find a way to make that shape in time. I'm kind of glad i didn't, because the details on the arches came out very well! It helps to reflect the environment they're in.
They, of course, are Hiei and Yukina. Angel and Fallen Angel, trying to reach each other but never able. I wanted to capture their emotions in their poses, Yukina is full of despair and leaning into the column, while Hiei is strained and pushing against it.
I used myself as a model for the poses, but changed the body structure, since Yukina is very petite and i sadly am not a sexy man like Hiei. I hope the bodies still look fairly accurate. They have kind of short legs but those two are tiny so i figured it was better that way.
I don't think this counts as mature content... nothing 'inappropriate' is showing as far as i'm concerned. Angels don't need clothes anyway
I think they have short legs to begin with xD Though, on this it's hard to see a clear seperation between Yukina's legs, but I figure that it's clearer in person ^.^
I love the idea, as well.
Hiei almost looks like he's giving up, but not quite; as if part of him wants to just give up, but he just can't. Yukina looks like she's wanting to, but almost giving up more on herself, but again not quite.
It's a neat piece - if nothing else to see the contrast in physiques between male and female... I think you really did justice to Hiei and Yukina, as well as their relationship. I like the way Hiei's head is in his arms. He never really likes to show emotion, if he can help it, seems to me XD
I was going to tell Hiei to keep pushing, he'd eventually get there, but couldn't figure out how to do it without sounding pervy...
Great job! This one was a lot of hard work, and it was really cool to watch it in progress and see how well it all came together. I love it, and I want a house made with stones like that!

This is just amazing I really like the detail in it all especially the arches. How long did this take you? I'm just curious This definitely deserves another fav
I can totally tell how much effort you put into this, and it's just amazing. When I opened the link, I'm like
It's reminiscent of some Roman architecture and Renaissance paintings. Yukina's thighs look a little bit thick, but all of the shading and Hiei's body proportions look FABULOUS.
Yes, you can see the difference between Yukina's legs in the actual painting, I'm sorry the photo doesn't show it very well.
And i am so glad the despair comes through in this! I'm glad i could make something with such emotion.
